For Paralegals and Graduate Lawyers

ParaLaw works with paralegals and graduate lawyers who want to challenge the way in which legal services are traditional delivered, while gaining invaluable legal experience to kick-start their career.

Whilst ParaLaw does work with law firms, we encourage law students and graduates to consider an in-house position early in their legal career. Not only will you gain strong commercial experience and a better understanding of business drivers, but you will open up a broader potential career path than the traditional law firm route.

ParaLaw works with leading organisations and law firms, and as a result, you have the opportunity to develop an enviable CV and gain invaluable experience working with leaders in industry. It is really easy – once you are admitted to our panel, we will contact you if a role arises that suits your skillset and interests.

The ParaLaw structure also allows flexibility to accommodate studying and other arrangements outside of work. Our paralegals and graduate lawyers can work full-time, part-time or project based, depending on their lifestyle choices.

Develop your skills

In the same way as we treat our clients, we won’t match you to just any role. We aim to match your interests and experience, if applicable, to the needs of the client, to ensure you are continuing on a path in a practice area or industry of interest.

ParaLaw is the sister brand of FinLaw, a boutique resourcing firm which provides experienced financial services lawyers and risk professionals at leading banks and financial services organisations.

The Hon Helen Coonan at the launch of FinLaw on 20 February 2020 stated:
"I think the best way to describe FinLaw is an idea whose time has come. The idea of a financial services legal locum business is just what is needed to meet the demands on financial firms facing a slew of inquiries, increased regulation and compliance in the post-Banking Royal Commission-world."
